A VPS is recommended for 24/5 operation but not required. Your EA runs whenever MT5 is open — with or without a VPS. If MT5 is closed, disconnected, or your machine is offline, the EA cannot trade.
Your EA files arrive immediately with your purchase confirmation. Your account-bound licence key follows within 48 hours. Use the wait well: complete Step 3 (install and prepare MT5) so that when the key arrives, Steps 4–6 take only a few minutes.
Choose individual LY Bot EAs or the complete instrument set at bots.lytraders.com. Each EA is built for one market on one timeframe.

Each licence binds to one MT5 account — yours, not ours. We never have access to your funds. After purchase, you’ll be prompted to submit your MT5 account number: the number you use to log in to MetaTrader 5. Find it in the Navigator panel under Accounts, or in the Toolbox at the bottom of MT5.
We then prepare your account-bound licence key and delivery package. Expect delivery within 48 hours.
A key works on one MT5 account for one instrument. To run multiple instruments, you need one licence per instrument. Changing computers or VPS providers does not require a new key — the licence is bound to your MT5 account number, not your machine.
Your EA files arrive with your purchase confirmation. All of this step can be done while you wait for your key.
In MT5, click File → Open Data Folder, then open MQL5 → Experts.
Copy the .ex5 file(s) you received by email into this folder.
Close and reopen MetaTrader 5, or right-click Expert Advisors in the Navigator panel and select Refresh. Your LY Bot(s) now appear under Expert Advisors.
In the top toolbar, find the Algo Trading button. If it shows red, click it — it should turn green. Then click Tools → Options and configure:

One Click Trading (Trade tab) is optional — it is a manual-trading convenience and is not required for the EA to operate.
Each LY Bot is programmed for one specific market and timeframe. Attaching to the wrong chart causes errors.

Yes. Each LY Bot is a specialised EA — it works only on its designated market and timeframe. To run multiple instruments, attach each EA to its corresponding chart. They run independently, side by side.
When you attach the EA, a properties window opens. On the Common tab, ensure Allow Algo Trading is ticked. Then open the Inputs tab.
Enter your licence key exactly as delivered. The key activates only on the MT5 account number you submitted at purchase. If the key is invalid or the account doesn’t match, the EA will not trade.
Each LY Bot ships pre-configured with default settings. The key settings are below; you can also adjust the emergency stop-loss. The strategy's core logic — including the trailing-stop settings — is fixed and not customer-adjustable.

Click OK. The EA name and a status icon appear in the top-right corner of the chart — the EA is now active.
No blind go-live. Before the EA touches a funded account, run it where mistakes cost nothing — until you understand exactly what it does, and doesn’t.
A tool you don’t understand isn’t discipline — it’s delegation. Backtesting and demo results do not predict live results; their purpose is comprehension, not forecasting.
Your lot size controls how much capital each trade deploys. Too large risks your account; too small and the position has no meaningful effect. Quick start: find your account size and broker in the Lot Size Reference document included with your delivery email, which contains pre-calculated worked examples.

The same market can carry vastly different contract sizes across brokers. Example: 1 lot of HK50 on IC Markets ≈ $3,045 of exposure; 1 lot of HK50 on CMC Markets ≈ $152,380. Always recalculate for your broker.
These worksheets describe how the software’s sizing parameters work. They are not financial advice, and no lot size guarantees any outcome. You choose your position size; you remain in control.

| Wrong timeframe error | Switch the chart to the correct timeframe for your EA (see the table in Step 3.5). |
| No trades for days | This is often normal — the EA waits when its rules aren’t met. Check the Session Filter setting and market hours first. To confirm the filter isn’t the cause, temporarily set it to FALSE (24/5) on a demo account first. |
